Dr Devika has been a GP for many years in Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia, and has vast experience in a whole range of general practice issues. She is an Accredited Drug and Alcohol Screening Officer. She is available to visit onsite for Corporate Clients wanting to conduct random Drug & Alcohol Screenings.

Dr. Tasawar Aslam, MBBS FRACGP MRCGP ACRRM MMed DipOEM DAME

Dr Aslam is very experienced in men’s health and surgical procedures such as vasectomies and circumcisions. These procedures incur a private cost as they are not covered by Medicare.

Dr Aslam also has a wealth of experience in many other surgical procedures and also has a special interest in corporate medicine. He is a registered DAME (Designated Aviation Medical Examiner).

Dr Frank, MBBS FRACGP, Master of Medical Research (Cardiology), Advanced skin surgery certificate

Born in China, Dr Frank is fluent in both Chinese and English. After completing his medical degree, Dr Frank initially trained in ICU for three years in Zhe Jiang University Hospital in China. He then traveled to Australia in 2007 to obtain a Master of Medical Research degree in Cardiology. Attracted to the Australian way of life, he then pursued and completed his residency training at Mater Hospital in Brisbane, followed by a year training as a Medical Registrar at the Gold Coast Hospital. Before working at SmartClinics, Dr Frank spent a year as an Emergency Registrar in Redland Hospital and a year as a Senior Medical Officer with right to private practice in Theodore Hospital.

Dr Frank’s main interest is in performing skin procedures and he has obtained an advanced skin surgery certificate. Over his training and practice he has performed various surgeries including skin grafts, skin flaps, cyst removals and ingrown toenail surgery. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and catching up with friends. Dr Frank is of Christian belief and goes to church every Sunday. He enjoys helping patients of all ages achieve their optimum health.

Shingles Vaccines, available now!

The shingles vaccine, has been approved to be placed on the National Immunisation Program, to be provided free of charge from 1 November 2016 to people aged 70 years. There will also be a five year catch-up program for people aged 71 – 79 years. Doctors on Fifth is now stocking the shingles vaccine!

Healthy Hips Week

Up to 1 in every 50 babies are being treated for hip dysplasia in Australia currently. Yet many parents have never heard of the condition until the diagnosis and are left overwhelmed and bewildered.

Healthy Hips Week (23rd- 29th April) aims to bring together people from the hip dysplasia community, and beyond, to raise much needed funds to expand the support services and awareness campaigns of Healthy Hips Australia.
